D#7HW#3 Rhetorical Situation On The Town For Flow

Rhetorical Analysis: The purpose of this advertisement is to convince the intended audience ( coffee drinkers) to buy coffee during the holiday season. The purpose will be achieved  by persuading  the audience with a free coffee drink  when they buy one holiday coffee. The page is also telling the viewers when and where the offer will be taken place. The colors of the layout and images used around the cups  is telling the targeted audience (Everyone who enjoys coffee) that it is a holiday promotion. The creamy rich coffee in the cup also convince the readers that it is really going to be delicious and different from other seasons.

Design Element Analysis: This is a perfect example of verbal and visual flow. The bold headline” buy 1 holiday drink  and get one free” was put near the date and location to make the audiences or readers tour through the page . The image of the coffee was centered and the types of coffee that will be sold during holiday are listed at the bottom to depict the delicious drinks they are  talking about and also makes the readers to understand the message. The artist used the techniques to enhance verbal flow by grouping  the listed drinks at the bottom of the page. The headline catches the readers attention; then moves the readers eye to the location and date; then to the coffee images  followed by the types of coffee that will be available during the holiday season. This shows consistency, well organized and easy for the audience to follow because there is a flow pattern from top to the bottom; the use of typeface, image of the coffee, colors makes this page very unified in appearance and makes it fun for viewer to read.
